94 points in a rugby game is good news all round for rugby fans.
For Broadstreet it wasn't good news as they were on the end of a very good performance from the Old Scouts 1st team.
The home side were 21-0 up after 10 minutes and in many ways that's no good for either team. Broadstreet defended as much as they could but the Scouts attack this year is simply fantastic. Their confidence at set piece means they are a threat to any team and a lot of the tries started well inside their own half.
It was a complete performance, with the forwards deserving of praise just as much as the backs in recent weeks. The beneficiary of the solid forward work was Will Brennan, who had a superb game and is quietly doing his business this year, without much fanfare.
Conceding 33 points was not ideal, but as mentioned, in games that are won very early, on its hard to maintain a clean sheet. Tougher opposition would be treated differently.
The day was topped off by a win for the extended squad in the Rovers fixture. A much needed run out for a large chunk of the squad and clearly lots of players wanting a first team spot.
This week is Olney at home on Friday
