Daventry were kind enough to take on a quickly gathered Rovers squad for an unscheduled match on Friday.

The date was originally for a mixed 1's and Rovers squad to take on Towcester in the Alliance cup, but the visitors conceded and gave coach Aaron Ashmore the chance to give his full Rovers squad a much needed run out.

It makes you wonder how good the Rovers could be if everyone was available each weekend. They produced some good rugby against a defiant Daventry side and managed to stick out the 90 minutes for the win.

Good to see Dean Lake get 40 minutes in his first game since his 3 months injury lay off.
