The Old Scouts Academy provides the step up from age group rugby towards the senior sides. Combining players from School year 12 and 13, players will learn to play in a full contact environment to help develop confidence and skills in a close group who enjoy their rugby. Aligned with our 1st XV and Rovers, the Academy complete the seniors pre-season training programme before splitting off into squad training sessions. We have a mixture of ability with players coming from schools and colleges with Rugby Programmes as well as others who play and train alongside them. The squad mentality is not only improving the players performance but also building that network of team mates and the self confidence that comes with it. We aim to deliver as many home grown players as we can in to the senior squads here at Scouts.

The Academy have friendly, league and cup fixtures throughout the season at home or away on Saturday afternoons. They train on a Tuesday & Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 9pm. Please refer to The Academy fixture list for specific dates and times.
